Yard Operative - Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire

Main Duties:
Safely load cranes, ballast, and accessories onto transport using a telehandler or Gapo, ensuring accuracy with each order.
Unload and inspect returned equipment, verifying the condition and completeness of items.
Maintain yard organisation, assisting with stock control, and keeping records up to date.
Clean and prepare equipment, performing routine maintenance to ensure all items are presentable and functional.
Work outside in all weather conditions, observing health and safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
Ideal skills and experience include:
Proficiency in operating a telehandler
Background in basic mechanical maintenance and servicing of equipment
Familiarity with construction plant or crane equipment, including self-erecting tower cranes
A valid UK driving licence with a clean record
Key personal attributes:
A self-starter with high levels of motivation and initiative
Honest, dependable, and committed to safety
Organised with the ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines
Basic computer skills to manage stock and records
Strong English communication skills
