Key Responsibilities of the Plant Engineer:
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of construction plant equipment, including small tools, stihl saws, generators, pumps, diggers, excavators, rollers, telehandlers, and forklifts.
- Diagnose faults and ensure equipment is repaired to the highest standard.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Work mainly on-site and occasionally in the workshop to support operations.
Plant Engineer Requirements for Success:
- Proven mechanical experience in plant maintenance or servicing.
- Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plant Maintenance would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in roles such as Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, Service Engineer, Mechanic, or Heavy Plant Engineer.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
