The HGV Mechanic Role:
- Repair a fleet of HGV vehicles by manufacturer specification
- Diagnose or assist in the diagnosis of vehicle faults
- Assist with roadside breakdowns when required
- Accurately fill out service sheets
Qualifications to be successful in this role:
- You will have previous experience working as an HGV mechanic, HGV technician, HGV fitter or HGV engineer.
- You will need to hold a City and Guilds or NVQ min level 2 qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics/HGV
- You may have experience in carrying out MOT's to VOSA standards and an IRTEC Inspection accreditation
